<p>What is Rules of Engagement? Well, <a href="http://www.flipsidechurch.com">Flipside Church </a>conducts a pre-martial course designed to provide engaged couples with the knowledge and tactical skills needed to start their marriage off in a healthy direction. The class curriculum has been prayerfully considered and carefully compiled to give each engaged couple valuable insight into life as a married couple. The topics that are spoken and discussed are: Family Culture, Communication, Conflict Resolution, Expectations: needs &amp; goals, Finances, and Sex.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I had the opportunity to be the Day-Of Coordinator for Kristina &amp; Brad’s wedding on July 9, 2011. They exchanged heartfelt vows at the beautiful <a href="http://www.go2bethany.com/">Bethany Baptist Church</a> in Montclair and then they partied down at their reception at their home church, <a href="http://www.flipsidechurch.com/">Flipside Church</a>. Both Kristina and Brad are uniquely talented people and I was blown away with their creativity throughout their wedding planning process. From the emotional and sweet proposal caught on tape (I had goose bumps watching it), to the unique ideas in Kristina’s decorating for her ceremony and reception, to the unique candid’s caught in a photograph on their wedding day, this couple is a ball full of creative talent. It was fun and exciting getting to know Kristina &amp; Brad and I was touched to be a part of their wedding day. Here is a sneak peek at some of Kristina &amp; Brad’s wedding photos taken by the fabulous <a href="http://michellechiu.net/">Michelle Chiu Photography</a>. Michelle did an amazing job capturing their special day so perfectly.</p>

However, there is a fabulous reason: <strong>I GOT MARRIED!</strong> All my planning &amp; hard work paid off! My wedding was flawless &amp; beautiful. It is important &amp; special for every bride &amp; groom to incorporate their unique personalities within the wedding. This gives guests a great feel for the bride &amp; grooms exclusiveness &amp; gives the wedding a fun appeal. My favorite colors are red and black &amp; my husband’s favorite color is red, so of course the colors for our wedding were black, white &amp; red. The bridesmaids wore black strapless dresses with bright red heels &amp; the groomsmen wore black shirts with bright red vests &amp; ties. My husband had one request for the wedding &amp; that was to have him &amp; the groomsmen wear red chucks. I had no problem with that because the red on the chucks matched perfectly with the red within the tux. The bridesmaids wore their hair in a messy side bun. The side-bun is elegant yet fun at the same time &amp; I am a fun person so it all worked out! We also showed our personalities in our table numbers for the reception. We took pictures of us holding numbers for each table; however, they weren’t elegant pictures. They were extremely goofy pictures! It was a lot of fun to shoot and tons of fun to make. We got so many compliments on these pictures.</span></p>

<span style="font-family: Calibri;">For a wedding to flow smoothly &amp; not become over-crowded with floral or color schemes, limit your flowers &amp; colors to three (3). Have three (3) types</span><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> of flowers (that flow with the colors) &amp; three (3) colors within your color scheme that match &amp; flow well with each other.<span>  </span>I had red &amp; white roses with white tiger lilies within my wedding flowers. Bla<span style="font-family: Calibri;">ck can be used in basically any color scheme for a wedding or event. It can be used as a prime color or as an accent. The important thing to remember is to not go overboard with the black if there is a tri-color scheme. I used black in small details with the ceremony and much bigger details with the reception. I did this mainly because the reception room at <a href="http://www.cocopalmrestaurant.com/">Coco Palm Cuban Restaurant</a> was darkly lit, so I knew the black would not be as noticeable. For the ceremony (disregard the attire of the bridal party) I used black ribbon (along with red &amp; white) on the flower girls dresses along with their baskets, the ring bearer’s pillow and on the seat covers. That was it for the ceremony. For the reception, I used more black to pop the other two colors of the wedding. The black was used for the underlay for the guest tables, the seat covers, favors, and black ribbon on the cake provided by <a href="http://www.somecrust.com">Some Crust Bakery </a>in Claremont, CA. Be creative by designing a save-the-date that caters to your wedding theme or wedding colors. For example; if your theme has something to do with purchasing tickets (movies, circus, theme parks, concerts, carnivals, cruises, traveling, etc.), you can create a save-the-date that looks like a ticket to your event (your wedding). Another example is if you and your fiancé are passionate about photos, you can create a save-the-date with a collage of photos of you two. The sky is the limit for save-the-dates. I have provided a spread with many examples of save the dates that can work with multiple themes and color schemes. </span></p>

There are many color combinations a bride can choose to achieve this amazing theme. In this spread, I show you a Spring Wedding with pink as the primary color with white &amp; green as the accents. Traditionally, there are at least three colors to use in a wedding. The variation of the use of those colors can change. For example, in this spread there was one primary color (pink) and two accent colors (white and green). This color scheme can also be used as two primary colors (pink and green) and one accent color (white), and so on. Try to find colors that match well with each other. My advice would not to exceed four colors in your wedding. This will reduce clashing of the colors. </em></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><em>If you are having trouble finding the colors that are right for your wedding, start with you or your fiancé’s favorite color(s) and build from that. For example, if your favorite color is yellow, you can have your wedding colors as yellow as your primary color and grey &amp; white as your accents. Or if your fiancé’s favorite color is red, you can have red and gold as your primaries, and white as your accent. The best way to find which colors are right for your wedding is to do some research online. Type in “(color) wedding” and you will be surprised on how many images come up. </em></span></p>
